How Teach & Learn Works

Everything you need to know about using the platform — from your first free worksheet to live tutoring, when it launches.

Self Study

Live now

Self Study gives every student access to curriculum-aligned worksheets with full study notes, worked examples, and instant answer explanations. No tutor needed — learn at your own pace, any time.

1

Pick a subject

Choose your subjects across CAPS (Primary to Matric to University (coming soon)), IEB (Grade 10 to Matric) and Cambridge (Primary to A Level to University (coming soon)).

2

Study the notes

Every worksheet starts with study notes and worked examples so you understand the topic before you answer any questions.

3

Answer and submit

Work through the questions at your own pace, then submit for instant marking with full explanations for every answer.

Free to try. Create a free account and your first three worksheets are completely free, with no payment needed. Once your free allowance is used, a subscription unlocks unlimited access to all subjects in your grade or level.

Live Group Tutoring

3

4

Rate the session

Give feedback after each lesson to help us maintain quality.

Monthly cohort fees are paid upfront and cover all lessons and assessments for that month.
Age-appropriate lesson times are automatically enforced for under-16s.
First lessons, and randomly selected lessons after, include quality assurance recording for your protection.

For Parents

Live now

Oversee your child’s learning from your own dashboard — track their progress, manage payments, and get notified the moment something needs your attention.

1

Your child signs up

Your child creates their own student account with their own email address, selecting “Student” during sign up.

2

Link their account

Create your own parent account, then use “Link Existing Student” on your dashboard with your child’s email to connect the two.

3

Enable notifications

Turn on notifications on your dashboard to be alerted instantly, even with the site closed, whenever your child finishes a worksheet or needs help.

Why enable notifications? Without them, you would need to log in and check manually to know how your child is doing. With notifications on, you are told the moment a worksheet is finished, a score needs attention, or a tutoring session is starting — right on your phone, with no app to install.
